haven't quite finished up the details of it yet, but was wondering what any one thinks the color harmony for this matte i've been working on this week should be.

My suggestion: don't use the grass brush. Also, the roots growing out of the ground facing us are bright and illuminated, but the light source is on the other side of the mountain.

This is simply nice,
I like your illustration.Keep it black and white,if u can bring in some shades of blue and play with it.and see what happens.

I got some feelings,when I see.But over all,awesome.

thanks for the suggestions everyone!

i've only ever used the tapered circle or the regular circular brush with opacity pressure sensitivity, i had a feeling i was going to regret using the grass brush, i'll go over it this weekend and see what i can work up, the idea i was having for this matte was a camera move deep from in its background layer to pan back to the over all picture. i also thought of doing the same with this one to make it a cycling screen saver or some kind of goodness, or maybe incorporating the two scenes to perform a camera move from painting to painting by creating a point of similar scenery.

this one was originally a multi layered colored pencil drawing, then became a photograph in the good old photoshop. should i move those shoulders to an angle so the right shoulder is higher? and any suggestions to how i should illustrate a revolver in the foreshortened angle of a drawer interior? all the drafts i did for it had no readability and just looked like a stapler or something. what i finally was happy with was a weird nearly top view of the corner of the revolver where the hammer is and the top of the grip. that doesn't work with the angle that drawer's face is extending
