This is the entry Carpe_Rotoscopum and I submitted to the V48Seconds Film Competition. The aim of the contest is to recreate a scene from a movie in 48seconds featuring V energy drink.

Best of luck! You've created something really intimate there... beautiful work with the eyes. :congrats: That skin was rotoscoped? Would have been rotohell!

Again - good luck.

Thanks!

Yeah, the skin took a lot of work. I got most of it by keying the original skintones and putting a blue colour corrected layer underneath, but eventually when you have brown skin against brown trees you're going to have to break out those keyframes.

Even then most of the masks didn't require much once tracked in, but one thing I will watch out for next time is not to let the talent leave gaps in between her fingers. While working on it I remembered watching a documentary years ago where Bob Hoskins complained they made him keep his fingers together when he was strangling the cartoon rabbit in who framed roger rabbit. If only I'd remembered that sooner.
