noooo.. selection masks are gone!

Hello -
Anybody feel like setting up a marking menu to match the selection masks in 8.5, and then sending it to me??

Autodesk took them away in 2009 and I physically can't bring myself to write something up
that is restoring a feature that was better in an OLDER version of Maya.

Gah.

Feel free to agree or disagree also.

Did you see they moved it to the left click area of the hotbox (spacebar)? Not as elegant as it was with the 'q' key (I think that was it), but still accessible. Although I do hate that they moved 'local' translate out of the first marking menu that pops up for the translate tool (w + LMB)... and you have to go into like a submenu to find it.

Seems like it's really bugging you! Hehehe.

Ah! thanks- I'm about half way there to breaking the habit of holding q and clicking!
