Alright, Instead of spamming the board with new threads I will just make one thread that has all my smaller scripts in it. They might mostly consist of a few lines only but they speed up the workflow immensely once setup.

USE ALL THE SCRIPTS AT YOUR OWN RISK! God knows...

OK, first one:

"Automatic Reference-File Update-Utility"

Description:
Replaces *_REF file with most recent file from directory. (*_REF file = File to be referenced into Maya)

Instructions:
1) Run BAT file in your scenes/ directory
2) Open TXT file it created and add paths to your reference files
(syntax: one path per line, forward slash for sub directory and semicolon (;) at end of line)
3) Save TXT file and run BAT

Sample:
So this is the structure this script works in:
scriptDir/
+PathToFile_01/
+PathToMultpleFiles_01/
++PathToFileInSubDir_02/

Notes:
The script can also be run from Maya:
Code:
system("start "+`workspace -fn`+"/scenes/feUpdateAllRef.bat");

(assuming the script lies in the scenes/ directory of your current project);

Important: This script follows a strict naming convention. The Ref file per directory will always be called NameOfDirectory_REF. So each referenced Object should have it's own directory. But that's just common sense I hope.

"Blender Autosaves Cleanup"

Description:
Removes all *.blend1 and *.blend2 files except the most recent (per directory).

Instructions:
1) Run BAT from your Blender scenes directory
2) Think twice before hitting YES to delete

Notes:
Script searches ALL subdirectories so be sure to run it from the blender scenes directory only!

"MEL - Pyramid maker"

Description:
Let's you stack stuff in a pyramid... might prove useful at some place and time.

Instructions:
1) Source and run fePyr

Notes:
This is a old script but I remember to have put way too much effort into it for that what it is.

Is this thread open to anyone or is it a personal collection?

Just a personal one. An open one is a nice idea too. Once I take the time to get myself a nice website I will take it there.

Wow, this scripting subforum is covered in dust. Last entry was on the 4th of Decemeber 2010 - by me!
Anyway, despite this great interest in scripting, I would like to announce that I finally got around to get myself a website going where I will from now on host all of my scripts. They've been categorized by program, and come with elaborate descriptions and images. You can find them here.

Moreover, I recently wrote a tool that will speed up working on texture maps in photoshop. Make sure to check it out!
As mentioned over there, bug reports, feature requests and help offerings are highly welcome.

Nice clean site you've got there. I'm not sure I'd use that photoshop script as I usually work on each map separately anyway, though working in one psd is probably not a bad idea, though one psd will most likely have a larger file size than everything separate put together...

I like that pyramid script too, could be quite useful when required. :thumbsup:
