Just thought I'd ask the question who on this forum is going to be entering the 2nd year of the Bachelors in Art and Design with Media Design School ? :bravo:

Hey guys,

I don't have the details here at home, but second year splits people into 3 dedicated streams.
- Technical (Modelling, lighting, rendering, comping etc)
- Animation
- Visual Effects

Technical and Animation both have a rigging component.

Those 3 streams continue throughout the 3rd year of the degree.

In the 3rd year, students from the 3 streams work together on 2 team projects. Each student will also undertake a solo production project.

Hopefully I can post up some more info on Monday.

From my talk with James and looking at the plan. 2nd year looked fairly similar in the first half. The second half of the year was split into those 3 streams. Then yeah it was all up in the air whether or not there will be group projects or each stream would do there own projects. Depends on the numbers. Question Roger did they end up changing 2nd years comps back to PC or still using Mac ?

If by "2nd year" you mean the current Graduate Diploma course, that course will no longer exist after the current class finishes. So technically, they are still using Macs, but eventually won't be using anything at all!

I think they will be using PCs for all 3yrs of the degree... but I need to check that.

I was just saying that the current Grad Diploma course will no longer exist after this year - hence there are no need for computers for them. They were using Macs... I don't know what will happen to the Macs.

Well now, you could set up a high-speed camera at the base of your building and launch them one by one from the roof so you can play back the spectacular moment of disintegration in glorious slow motion.

Just a thought...
