Yeah, I can’t seem to get the abs right. It’s quite annoying really. No matter how much I work on them, they always turn out the same. AAARGH! Its funny you should mention holiday, 'cus as soon as I submit the final entry I’m going to be jet setting off to Australia for a couple of weeks.

Haha, yeah. It’s looking more and more likely that by the end of this comp he will just be standing on a street corner with his sign and wearing only underwear.... like a good crazy person would.

Maybe he is a 'the end is nigh' kind of guy, into self-flagellation (who isn't?) and rejecting all worldy evils, thus wears a loin cloth? Hessian. The rougher the better.

Cheers man. Yeah, I hope I finish it on time too. Though I doubt I will, I’m being dragged off to T4 tonight. However I might finish it on time IF I apply what my flat mate suggested to me, with out further a due I give you Dr. "Rorschach" Manhattan

Okay people, I've spent the whole day trying to get this to work but Mudbox cant seem to extract a decent normal map for me. It keeps on throwing stuff like this out at me.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thats not a software render is it? Software seems to treat normal maps as ordinary bumps.

Unfortunately that didn't help out either. So its back to square 1 for me. Thanks for the assist though, it still taught me a few little things that I didn't know.

Folly
Yeah, its a software render, but it isn't the render thats giving me the problems. When I extract the normal map from mudbox the actual file itself gets all these weird jagged lines and stuff.
