A doodle to keep me happy XD.

I was thinking of maybe a new Star Wars species, perhaps this guy is the first of his race to become a jedi. Heavily inspired by one of the creatures in 47 Ronin.

Thanks Jojo and Worzel!

Another creature design. Trying more traditional 3d techniques on this one. As A result it took much longer, don't think I'm a fan of doing it this way.

Heya Mate,
Great work.
I'm liking the last two a lot.
The starwars jedi alien with the eyes is cool - but the eyes bug me - they are really tacked on. they don't fit with the bone structure - or each other for that matter.
Reminds me of a lowbudget film I did ages ago with false eyes stuck on a girls forehead.

The second one is quite a cool design - but the pierced wattle things seem to come straight outta the very bony jaw, they don't seem to be flesh hanging off it.. which is what I THINK you were going for. and the sub surfacey effect is really strongly saturated red - which bugs me. especially around the lips.

jaysonSimpson: Thanks man! your right I do need to get into a habit of being a little more heavy handed about breaking the symmetry of my work

SplattR: As usual all your Crits are valid! I agree with everything you said really. The nice thing is I do these as half day little doodles, so I'll never go back to them. But getting critiques like this is awesome as it means I can apply them to the next ones I do! Thanks for the honest Crits keep them coming when you got the time. I totally agree with you about the dogs eyes being stuck on haha, and yes the wattles where supposed to look like flesh hanging from the corners of the jaw.

Concept work for a short film based on Stephen Kings 'The Dark Tower' series. I've never read the books myself so I think it gives me a fresh take on a lot of the concepts as I'm not really too attached to anything in the series.

This is a lobstrosity, which is like a giant mutated Lobster which attacks our hero!
I think i went a little nuts with the Effects on this one, namely the Chromatic aberration..

I've never had problems getting my videos to embed, what am I doing wrong now?

Need to have the full url. You were missing the "http://" at the start. I can never remember how it goes, I just hover my mouse over the 'youtube' button and it reminds me!

Loving lobstrosity!

Worzel: hmm that's weird, i was trying with the http and it wasn't working.. Thanks for fixing it though!

Haven't rendered a face in ages, doodle for practice.

I went a little too feminine with the nose at the end and it changed the whole mood of the piece, ah well.

Interesting seeing the first sketch and final image. Definitely a change in mood. Cool render though!

Worzel: Thanks Worzel!

Very small preview of the latest mech I'm working on. I was inspired by the 'Patriot Missile' launches the USA use as well as the good 'AIM 9 Sidewinders'. Sorry Its not much, just a block out of a missile, this thing is going to be firing a few..

Finally have my first appointment with the surgeon tomorrow so Hopefully I'll be 100% again soon!

Some more traditional work. Took some of my Daily doodles and put some values on them, just mucking around really.

I've had this song playing so loud my neighbours complained. Not about the volume, they just wanted a change after hours on repeat.

Wasn't happy with my previous version so I cleaned it up and took it a little further. I have a problem with Chromatic Aberration.
