Do you know the mushroom man,
The mushroom man, the mushroom man,
Do you know the mushroom man,
Who lives in Fungus Lane?

Just doodling around this guy took on a life of his own, and now stars in a feature length movie; The Mushroom Man - in which a mushroom monster goes around whacking people with giant mushrooms.

Looking good man.
Though the strong lines on the upper side of his neck make him look like he's tensing up.
I think you are trying to mirror those fine fleshy bits on the underside of mushrooms - but you only get those on the undersides - its a little weird to see them on the upper sides.

other wise - loving it dude ;-)

Cheers! yea I was doing the fleshy mushroom bits on the neck. I know you only find them on the bottom but I was just trying to find a more creative way to integrate the body with the mushroom, ah well!

Glad you liked it!

Cheers man! hahaha I realised after I'd finished it all that the step ladder was a tad out of scale, but at that point.. eh. Couldn't be bothered going back lol, you are the first person to point it out though!

I don't typically post my pen and paper works online but I've been having a lot of fun going back to the Ink. When I was younger the thing that really got me drawing was comic book art and manga, I always wanted to be a line artist when I grew up. I wanted to be the guy drawing comics and inking the lines, and these were a great reminder of how much I love the brush pen and ink.
I doodle like this everyday but I may start trying to draw more finished pieces in the style.

Thank you very much!

no, I don't think I have any sort of super human speed. Doing it right is more important than rushing it.
