Is it rigged and ready to go? Would love to check it out. You can try emailing to me if it's not too large: roger@feronanimation.com. If it doesn't go through I'll pm you my other email which should be fine.

It'll be a few weeks before I can check it out though, lots to do right now!

Ok its sent . Its not rigged though but if you could look at it when ever or if you have a spare few hours i think it would be cool to see him come too live it was feeling like a bit of a wasted model.

Cool dog! I thought I recognised it... had a look a few pages into your thread and saw some pics of it there! Yep, would be cool to animate it. I'll keep it in mind over the coming weeks. Thanks for sending! Actually, I keep looking at the models you've been making, and thinking it'd be cool to animate some. Maybe we could collaborate on something later!

Cartoon style animation with my Condor rig.

The rig's not really designed for 'cartoon' stuff... but just wanted to see what I could get away with.

Oh, and it's mostly just blocked poses. Prob won't get time to do any more passes, but it kinda works for the style. Lol.

My two cents would be the swoop at on far right cam, seems to stop and circle, not enough ground covered. I would think a bird would fall from the sky. Can we get images of your rig?

Yeah, definitely not covering enough ground... might fix that bit up tonight.

Images of rig on previous page.

Thanks wikz!

cytham, no reference, just did some "straight ahead" animation, and made up the poses and timing etc, just trying to make it cartoony and fun. However the flying style was inspired by Vlad the vulture from Horton Hears A Who, who has really cool poses.

On the previous page I've put some images of the feathers curling - that's the only control I have for them. The animation above has no secondary animation on it, so no feather animation. I would like to finish it sometime - maybe next week. There are things to fix too. But this was just a 'first pass' blocking animation.

I will put in some feather animation later!

I'm just super busy this weekend, finishing ANOTHER creature rig for my students to use next week (which I'll probably animate and post up some time).

Today's creature. Rigged over the weekend. Not animation tested (might do something today)... but I got him into this pose without too much fuss.

 Thanks to Kris (colleague) for the gorilla mesh! Yay, I didn't have to model it!

The wings were transplanted from the condor rig. Lol. They're just kinda stuck to his back. Maybe I'll give him some corrective surgery later.

Also one day I'll make the feathers look more like feathers.
