I think the head turn on "children" takes too long to start, so he's saying "chil..." while the head is still turned away. I think it'd be nicer to turn on "chil..." and say "... dren" while facing fowards. Also he's smiling for too long. I'd have the smile creep in on "chil..." and back to sad on "... dren", OR the other way around maybe... have the smile appear on the second half, but quickly disappear again. Then it's not too psycho happy the whole time. Lol.

Be careful at the very end after the speaking finishes, he seems to be thinking about stuff. Be aware it's adding more to the character beyond what we feel from the audio. Is he supposed to realise he accidentally smiled? If so, I'd say a better approach would be that he doesn't realise he smiled at all, but have a subtle part of a smile appear. Remember that we can most easily avoid (or chose to use) those "identified" expressions (such as "smiling"), because we are so aware of them. It's the "Unidentified" expressions that leak out. So use a bit of a smile, like the a corner of a mouth pulling up slightly.
