Great job man when it going to air on tv?

there been a few documentaries now shot on cannon camera and well they look awesome with a ability to add some nice depth of field.

His guy Phil i know at rhythm and hues in the States has the meanest D-SLR rig to film his indie film on with his cannon camera

Yeah all of them are for NZ artist, But most of them are underground of independent so not many people hear about them.
A couple are international collaborations. I have got funding before form TVNZ, but its a commercialized road.
4 times a year they release the funding decisions here.

80% of the time it's the same old shit, same bands, same boring crap. :banghead;
most of the artist i work with, I work with because the music resonates with my work, im after artistic collaboration not commercialization.
you can chase the bands and pitch to them, if your idea is good enough they might pick you otherwise its an up tight industry.
I have built a working relationship with some bands, and they will work with me when they can.

The first videos i made, Crime Fighters and Sunking i just messaged them on my space and said i wanted to make a videos
to their music regardless of funding. When you have killer music, its easy to get motivated to work on it. :dance:
When its mainstream pop, i dont identify with it, its all relative to the director and band.
Music videos are a great avenue to become a director tho, and there is money there for your ideas and projects
to get of the ground. I approach each one as a chance to R & D new ideas and techniques. Eventually culminating towards
a short film..... thats the plan. So far so good.

Meaning first, money second
