 Post subject: Still life

For the last three weeks of 2nd year at MDS we've had a still life project where we had to recreate a photo. I chose this memorabilia from a ship that my mum emigrated to NZ on.

We've just finished so I haven't had a chance to look over it with fresh eyes, but for now just happy to get it out there.

Edit: attached the photo for reference. You'll have to forgive the ham-fisted post processing.

Sorry... didn't realise you added the photo to your original post. Note that when you "edit" a post there is no 'notification', so no one knows! So it helps to also make a reply to say you've edited your first post. :grin: :grin:

You've done a great job with your render. The only thing I think needs tweaking, is that the edges of the wood are very clean and smooth. For example, the base in the photo has little chips and notches in it, and the same with the edge of the inner circle of the wheel.
